1. Who we are

Wealthy Growth is an online personal finance course and is responsible for the personal information it collects through wealthygrowth.com. Our administrative office is at 75 Nashdene Road, Toronto, ON M1V 2W3; classes and support take place entirely online. This policy covers information collected on this site, including the sign-up form.

2. What we collect

We collect only what you choose to enter in the sign-up form on the home page:

  • Full name
  • Email
  • Phone number (optional field)
  • Province or territory
  • A message about your situation or question
  • Main goal and preferred start time, when provided (optional fields)
  • Confirmation of your consent and the date and time of submission

We do not ask for passwords, Social Insurance Numbers, banking details or health information in this form, and you should not send them in the message box. Like any website, our hosting server also automatically records technical access data (such as your IP address and the date of the request) in its standard logs. These server logs are kept separate from your sign-up details and are not used for tracking or building browsing profiles.

3. How we use your information

We use your sign-up details to answer your request, confirm your place in the class, send access information for the lessons and the class group, and tell you about payment and class dates. We send marketing emails only with your separate consent, as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires, and each one includes an unsubscribe link. We never use your details to advertise third-party products.

We handle your personal information on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the authorization box on the form, in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where it applies, the private-sector privacy law of Ontario. Without that consent, the form cannot be submitted.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your details or share them with third parties for marketing. They are stored in a log file on the server that hosts this site, outside the public folder, and may be forwarded by email to the Wealthy Growth team only to process your enrolment. Our hosting and email providers handle this information on our instructions, and some may store it outside Canada, where local laws can apply to it.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your sign-up details for as long as needed to run your class and answer questions after it ends, plus a reasonable further period for internal records, and then delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your details at any time, as described under "Your rights" below.

7. Cookies and local storage

This site uses no tracking cookies and no analytics tools. It only uses local storage in your browser (localStorage) to remember that you have seen the privacy notice. Full details are in our cookie policy.

8. Your rights

Under PIPEDA, you can do any of the following at any time:

  • Ask whether we hold personal information about you;
  • Request access to the information we hold about you;
  • Ask us to correct information that is incomplete, inaccurate or out of date;
  • Ask us to delete your information;
  • Withdraw the consent you gave in the form, within legal limits;
  • Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the provincial commissioner where one applies.

To make a request to us, send an email to [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days of receiving it.

9. Data security

The file holding sign-up details is kept outside the site's public folder, so it cannot be reached by browsing, and it has restricted read permissions on the server. No system is completely free of risk, but we take reasonable steps to protect this information from unauthorized access, loss or misuse. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify the people affected and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as PIPEDA requires.

10. Children and minors

The course is meant for adults, and the form must not be completed by anyone under the age of majority where they live. We do not knowingly collect information from children or teenagers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as the site or the law changes. Each revision carries a new publication date at the top of this page.
